Our Story

It takes two to Temp-a-Tango

We’re Phil and Caroline Pegden, a husband-and-wife duo. It may sound a little bit cliché, but like many of our fellow entrepreneurs, we started TempaGoGo from our kitchen table.

Why did we set up TempaGoGo?

Although the UK is the second largest market for agency workers in the world, recruiting temporary staff can be painful and bureaucratic, for both businesses and agencies. And it shouldn’t be that difficult!

What do we believe?
  • Good recruitment agencies can bring a huge value to businesses.
  • Supplying and/or hiring temporary workers should not be hard and bureaucratic.
  • Technology can help.
What do we want to achieve?

We want to make the lives of both businesses and agencies easier.

Caroline Pegden

  • After a MsC in Science of Management from HEC Paris, I worked in multiple locations and sectors, starting in strategy with McKinsey Company in France, then moving to the fashion industry in the UK. Before joining TempaGoGo, I led a large-scale digital transformation in the UK public sector. Numerous facets, but just one mantra - we can do it!
  • In addition to being an entrepreneur, I'm a Mum and like to escape to my allotment to rejuvenate from time to time.
  • When we started discussing TempaGoGo, I just thought: bingo! As co-founder, I look after TempaGoGo's Business Development and Operations.

  • After reading computer science at Cambridge University, I've worked for eight years in technology and operation roles at UBS bank. I've also spent five formative years as a strategy consultant with McKinsey & Company. Before co-founding TempaGoGo, I was Reed Specialist Recruitment's IT Director for over six years.
  • I'm a Dad to our two wonderful children, and in my spare time I like to dabble in photography.
  • I've always dreamt of launching a tech-based start-up. As co-founder, I'm responsible for Strategy and Technology.
